This listing is for the Shopsmith Mark V Model 520, serial number 03-06-00. The offering includes the Pro Fence, Miter gauge with Safety-Grip, Extension Table, 2 Floating Tables, 4 Table extension poles, two telescoping legs, Upper and Lower Blade Guards, 10" Combination blade with arbor, Arbor Wrench, 12" Sanding Disk, Lathe Tailstock, Lathe Tool Rest, Lathe Drive Spur, Tailstock Cup Center, tailstock Live Center, Drill Chuck with Key, 5/32 long Hex Key and a set of five Shopsmith Lathe Chisels (part numbers 555026 thru 555030). Also included is the original owners build tool shelf, which can be configure to how you would like the Shelf to be arranged.

When this arrived at my shop, it needed a basic maintenance, which was to lubricate the sheave pulleys, inspected and adjusted belts, cleaned the table deck, way tubes, wax the tables and way tubes so the the headstock and table carriage glides across the way tubes with out any effort. The original power switch acting up so a new one was purchased and installed. While we found the Shopsmith to be a good running system when it arrived, it runs even better now.

For those not familiar with the Model 520, which shares some features with the Model 510. The big difference it the table alignment and the Pro-Fence. The Pro-Fence is much beefier that the fence for the 510 and 500, and it will always give your a precise cut. It also support the edge rule magnetic strip so that giving you a precise measurement from the fence to the saw blade, saving considerable time and wasted material.

The photos show the Shopsmith as it is configured from a table saw, to a lathe, to a 12" disc sander, to a horizontal boring machine, to a drill press and then to a compact machine for easy storage in the garage, or even a garden shed. It only requires less than 6'x 3' of floor space, even with the optional Band saw and Jointer attached
